The meeting was held at Istanbul Bilgi University’s Dolapdere Campus on 6 January2006 . Academics and representatives from women organisations attended the meeting. The speakers were the Law Professors Catherine MacKinnon from University of Michigan and George Fletcher from University of Columbia. The focus was on the relationship between law and feminism and the current legal arguments especially on the subject of sexual violence.
