Expert Researcher Gökçeçiçek Ayata
Gökçeçiçek Ayata holds a Bachelor Degree in Law and an LL.M. Degree in Human Rights Law. Currently, she is attending the PhD Program on Public Law at Istanbul University. Between 2003 and 2006 she has worked as a lawyer. Since 2006, she has been working for the Human Rights Law Research Center of Istanbul Bilgi University as expert researcher. She has co-authored the books "What and Who is Protected by the Law on the Protection of the Family? Narratives of the Judges, Prosecutors and Lawyers", and "Gender of Justice: Legal Experiences in Combating Male Violence". She has co-edited following books; "Women’s Rights: International Law and Practice", "Prohibition of Discrimination: Concepts, Legislation, Monitoring and Documentation" and "Training Manual on Prohibition of Discrimination".
Research interests: women's rights, gender, prohibition of discrimination, access to justice.
