Prof. Luzius Wildhaber, the first President of the European Court of Human Rights, visited Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Law for an eight days seminar program on European System for Protecting Human Rights.

The European Convention on Human Rights was examined in detail during the seminar and some discussion sessions took place in order to have a deeper investigation of the topics related with rights and freedom issues. The results of European Council’s development by new members, the current issues of democracy, multiculturalism and terror were the other discussion topics. The seminars finalized right after the reform discussions for protection of human rights in Europe. The language of the seminar was in English and the participants are awarded by certificates at the end.
