Istanbul Bilgi University Human Rights Law Research Center organized a conference on “The Nature, Effect and Monitoring of the Individual Application Judgments of the Constitutional Court”. In the conference that was held in Istanbul Bilgi University Dolapdere Campus on 5 June 2017 the results of the research conducted within the scope of the project titled “Enhancing Individual Application Procedure by Monitoring Turkish Constitutional Court Judgments” were presented and discussed. The project is implemented by Istanbul Bilgi University Human Rights Law Research Center with the support of Matra Programme of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Turkey.
In the first session of the conference consisting of two sessions, Asst. Prof. Ulaş Karan, the coordinator of the project, presented the final report of the research. In the second session of the conference, current approaches in Turkey and the comparative law regarding the nature and effects of the Constitutional Court judgments were discussed. The speakers Prof. Dr. Turgut Tarhanlı, Acting Dean of İstanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Sibel İnceoğlu and Prof. Dr. Osman Doğru from Marmara University Faculty of Law and Dr. Atilla Nalbant from European Court of Human Rights shared their knowledge and opinions with the participants.
