Three seminars were organized in February 2008 within project "Promoting the Practice of Victim-offender Mediation" conducted by Istanbul Bilgi University Human Rights Law Research Center. This project, supported by the European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) aimed to promote the practice of victim-offender mediation in criminal cases. The project was organized in cooperation with the European Forum for Restorative Justice. Within the context of this project, research reports regarding victim-offender mediation were prepared, training of members of the judiciary, lawyers and NGO representatives were organized, and training manuals were developed.
