Research Assistant Başak Ekinci

Başak Ekinci graduated from the Bahcesehir University Faculty of Law with the highest degree in 2015. In the same year, she co-authored the book titled “Prisoners’ Rights Handbook” which was prepared within the Civil Society in the Penal System Association (CISST). In 2016, she graduated from the Criminal Law and Criminal Justice LLM at the University of Edinburgh with distinction. Her thesis was titled “Criminalisation of Sex Work and Human Rights”. She continues her PhD studies at Galatasaray University Public Law Doctorate Programme since 2018.

Research interests: constitutional law, constitutional justice, feminist legal theory
