Necessity of Non-Accommodation of State of Emergency: Human Rights in Times of Crisis

Following the coup attempt on 15 July 2016, the Council of Ministers of Turkey has declared a nation-wide 90-day state of emergency that was later extended by three months. Within this period, 12 statutory decrees were issued that had serious consequences regarding the regime of restriction of human rights.
